Non in motion weighing has applications in most of production based industries. Usually a packages travelling on a conveyor are measured for its weights and non acceptable packages are detected as over weight and under weight. The system discussed here will only differentiate packages as correct weight and incorrect weight, where incorrect weight includes both under weight and over weight packages. This system is based on PIC microcontroller and uses readily available static weighing scale to measure weight. Pneumatic cylinders are used as actuators to handle packages.
